iOS 16.2 update launches for everyone; 5G for Indian iPhones

iOS 16.2 update is now out for all iPhones with iOS 16. 5G support released for Indian iPhones.

The iOS 16.2 update has been rolled out and before anything else, this is what you need to know – support for 5G networks comes to Indian iPhone users. Since 2020, all the new iPhones launches have supported 5G but Apple is enabling the software support now. Hence, if you use an iPhone from the iPhone 12 series, iPhone 13 series, iPhone 14 series and the iPhone SE 3rd Gen, and have a subscription to Reliance Jio or Airtel 5G, you can now enjoy 5G on these networks.

Note that 5G is not enabled by default on 5G compatible iPhones. Users will need to dig into the Settings menu and head into the Mobile Data to enable 5G. Other than the support for 5G, the iOS 16.2 update also brings a couple of changes for the newer iPhone models.
