Smiley Children Society’s Education Initiatives Continue to Create Lasting Social Impact Across Andhra Pradesh

Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Education is widely recognized as a powerful driver of social change, and Smiley Children Society has been translating this belief into action through its sustained work with children and families across Andhra Pradesh. Since its founding on January 19, 2019, the organization has focused on expanding access to education while supporting the overall development of children from underserved communities.

Established by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society operates from its headquarters in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). The organization has built a dedicated network of volunteers who work closely with schools, local authorities, and community members to promote educational awareness and child welfare.

A cornerstone of the society’s work is assisting children from economically disadvantaged families with enrollment in government schools. Volunteers visit communities, identify children who are out of school, counsel parents on the importance of education, and provide practical support throughout the admission process. By reducing barriers to school enrollment, the organization aims to ensure that more children begin their educational journey on time.

The initiative has been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who recognized the efforts of Smiley Children Society’s volunteers and commended Founder Prudhvi Moses for his commitment to improving educational access.

“Quality education should be available to every child, regardless of financial circumstances. Our volunteers work with families because we believe that even a small act of guidance can create lifelong opportunities for a child,” said Prudhvi Moses.

In addition to promoting school enrollment, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes at its Angara branch. The program offers academic mentoring, subject revision, homework assistance, and examination preparation for students who require extra support outside regular school hours.

To ensure that children can focus on learning without worrying about hunger, the organization also provides free dinner after every tuition session. This combined approach of education and nutrition reflects the society’s commitment to supporting children’s holistic development.

Smiley Children Society also continues to advocate for improvements in early childhood education. During awareness programs and educational events, Prudhvi Moses has encouraged Anganwadi centres and schools to adopt creative, activity-based teaching methods that foster curiosity, participation, and confidence among young learners.

As part of its broader educational mission, the organization donates learning materials, classroom equipment, and teaching aids to schools whenever possible, helping educators create engaging and effective learning environments.

Looking ahead, Smiley Children Society aims to expand its educational outreach, strengthen partnerships with schools and local communities, and inspire more volunteers to participate in social service. Through these ongoing efforts, the organization continues to contribute to a future where every child has the opportunity to receive a quality education and build a better life.
